Meet Captain Doug Maines

aka. "Captain Chaos"

I've been fishing Orange Beach, Gulf Shores, Pensacola, and other fishing spots near me my entire life.

As a young child my dad had me out pulling mullet nets and fishing piers on the bayou. After high school I enlisted in the Navy where I served on the U.S.S. Saratoga, which I really enjoyed.
I served out my time with the Navy and went back to fishing, but this time it was charter fishing in Orange Beach, Alabama.
I started out deck handing on the deck of many offshore boats and learned a lot about the different ways of deepsea fishing, then I got my first real gig with Captain Bligh.
I have been in the charter fishing industry a long time and have met a lot of wonderful people.
I love taking kids out fishing and watching their faces when they catch a nice fish. These are things that children don’t forget.
I sure hope to meet y’all and make some great memories inshore, nearshore and offshore / deep sea fishing aboard Extreme Chaos Fishing Charters.
Yours Truly,
Captain Chaos

Absolutely! Orange Beach is renowned for having amazing fishing.

Depending on the season, you can catch Red Snapper, Vermilion Snapper, Lane Snapper, Triggerfish, King mackerel (Kingfish), Spanish Mackerel, Redfish, Bluefish, Sheepshead, Catfish, and many other species.

Live bait like shrimp and squid work well, but our crew will provide the bait based on the type of charter, season, and what we’re targeting.

The boat and captain, fishing gear, bait, safety equipment, cleaning of fish, expert guidance, scenic views, and fishing regulations information are all provided for you.

The likelihood of catching fish during a charter fishing trip can vary depending on several factors, including location, season, weather, type of fishing, and patience. While there’s no guarantee of catching fish, Captain Doug works hard to provide the best experience possible.

Yes, it is customary to tip the captain/crew on a charter fishing trip. Tipping is a way to show appreciation for their hard work, expertise, and dedication to ensuring you have a successful and enjoyable fishing experience. As a general guideline, a common practice is approximately 15-20% of the total cost of the charter. However, you can adjust the tip based on your judgment of the service quality and your overall experience.

We recommend bringing seasonal clothing, comfortable footwear, personal medications, motion sickness remedies, a cooler, fishing gear (optional), fishing hat, and most importantly, a positive attitude!

Sunscreen is recommended – spray on sunscreen is however, not allowed.

Whether you get to keep the fish you catch depends on factors such as local regulations, the type of fish, and your personal preference.

You can cancel or change your booking free of charge up to 3 days before the trip date.
